Life outside research

Whilst deeply fulfilling, research can be quite draining and thus I try to find ways to maintain balance in life. Below are some examples of this balance.

People carrying crash pads along an autumn trail in Lynn Woods.
Two people examining a boulder beneath autumn leaves in Lynn Woods.
Sunlight filtering through trees and red autumn leaves in Lynn Woods.
First time outdoor bouldering in mass (and after many years generally). Definitely a humbling experience but excited to go more often again. Went with a fellow sensible linguist.
Pastel evening sky above sandstone cliffs, a pine tree, and a parked car near Zion.
Red sandstone cliffs glowing in evening light above a street and coffee shop near Zion.
Towering sandstone cliffs beneath a cloudy sky, viewed from an open-top car in Zion.
Spent a week in zion with the cousins after a family wedding.
Two hikers on a trail through snow-covered evergreen trees in Banff.
A person at a lookout above a frozen lake and snowy mountains in Banff.
Snow falling at night, seen through a car windshield on the trip to Banff.
Visited banff in feb! Frigid but beautiful. The drive up from calgary was anything but "relaxing" though.
